Itinerary

1

Day 1: Errachidia → Ziz Valley → Erfoud Fossil Workshops → Merzouga Sahara Desert

Your desert adventure begins with a morning pickup in Errachidia. We immediately set out southward, winding through the spectacular Ziz Gorges, where millions of green date palms contrast sharply against red canyon walls. We stop in Erfoud, the world-famous "fossil capital," to visit a local workshop and see how ancient prehistoric marine life is carved into beautiful marble. By afternoon, we reach the edge of the golden Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga. Here, you will mount your camel and embark on a peaceful sunset camel trek. As the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple, you will arrive at your secluded luxury camp. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan feast followed by a magical evening of live spiritual Berber drum music around a cracking campfire under a canopy of stars.

Overnight: Tiziri Camp or Sahara Eden Camp (HB - Dinner & Breakfast Included in Luxury Desert Tent)

Day 2: Merzouga Desert → Rissani Authentic Market → Ziz Valley Oasis → Errachidia

Wake up early to witness the spectacular sight of a Sahara sunrise, as the shifting winds carve new patterns in the golden sand. After a hearty breakfast at the camp, you can choose to ride your camels or take a 4x4 vehicle back to Merzouga. From there, we visit the historic town of Rissani, the foundation of the ruling Alaouite dynasty. We will wander through its authentic local souk, famous for its spices, hand-woven baskets, and the traditional "donkey parking lot." Afterward, we begin our return journey north, stopping for panoramic photos of the vast Ziz palm groves before dropping you off at your hotel or the airport in Errachidia. Meals Included: Breakfast.
