Day 1: Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

Your 3-Day Sahara Desert tour from Errachidia to Fes begins with a morning pickup from your hotel or the airport in Errachidia. Travel southeast into the stunning Ziz Valley, famous for its sprawling date palm groves and traditional Berber villages. Stop in Erfoud, known for its rich fossil deposits and artisan workshops, and continue to Rissani, an ancient trading post where camel caravans once converged. Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the iconic Erg Chebbi dunes, in the late afternoon. Embark on a magical camel trek into the heart of the Sahara Desert just in time to watch a breathtaking sunset.

Day 2: Merzouga – Desert Exploration – Khamlia – Rissani – Midelt

Wake early to witness the unforgettable sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast in camp, explore the desert on foot or camelback, sandboard down the dunes, or visit local nomad families and the Khamlia village, famous for its traditional Gnawa music culture. After desert activities, depart Merzouga and travel northwest toward Midelt, crossing the scenic landscapes of the Sahara Desert edge and the Ziz Valley. Stop along the way in Rissani if you wish to explore its colorful souk.

Day 3: Midelt – Ifrane – Azrou – Fes

After breakfast, continue your journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Visit Ifrane, nicknamed "Little Switzerland" for its alpine-style architecture and serene environment. Next, stop at the cedar forests of Azrou, home to native Barbary apes, a rare sight in the wild. Descend toward Fes, Morocco's spiritual and cultural capital, arriving in the late afternoon.
