Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Barbary Monkey Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Luxury Desert Camp

Your premium Morocco desert tour begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Fes. We journey south toward the spectacular Sahara Desert, first stopping in Ifrane, known as the "Switzerland of Morocco" for its clean, alpine architecture. Next, we drive through the shade of the Middle Atlas cedar forests in Azrou to visit the famous Barbary monkey forest, where you can see native Barbary macaques up close. As the mountains fade, we descend into the magnificent Ziz Valley oasis, a sweeping canyon filled with thousands of green palm trees contrasted against dramatic red rock. By late afternoon, we reach the rolling golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Swap your vehicle for a traditional camel trek across the dunes, arriving at your luxury desert camp just in time to witness a breathtaking Sahara sunset. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by live Berber drum music around a roaring campfire under a star-filled sky.

Overnight: Tiziri Camp or Sahara Eden Camp (Half Board)

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Excursion – Meet Nomads – Khamlia Gnaoua Music – Seasonal Flamingo Lake

Today is dedicated entirely to immersing yourself in the magic of the Sahara Desert culture. Wake up early for an unforgettable desert sunrise, followed by a fresh breakfast at the camp. We set out on a 4x4 desert excursion to explore the deep dunes of Erg Chebbi. Our first stop is a visit with local Sahara nomads, where you will share a traditional glass of mint tea under their hand-woven tents and learn about their resilient, centuries-old way of life. Next, we head to Khamlia village to experience the mesmerizing rhythms of Gnaoua music, performed by local musicians whose ancestral roots trace back to sub-Saharan Africa. After enjoying a traditional Berber pizza for lunch, we drive to the seasonal flamingo lake (Dayet Srji), where—depending on the time of year and water levels—flocks of wild pink flamingos create a stunning contrast against the desert backdrop. Return to your camp in the evening for another peaceful night under the stars.

Overnight: Tiziri Camp or Sahara Eden Camp (Half Board)

Day 3: Merzouga Sahara Desert – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the deep dunes and drive to the historic town of Rissani, the cultural cradle of the Alaouite Dynasty, where you can explore its vibrant, authentic traditional souks. Our route then leads us to the jaw-dropping Todra Gorges. Take a walk along the riverbed between towering limestone cliffs that reach up to 300 meters overhead—a world-famous destination for rock climbers. In the afternoon, we wind through the spectacular landscapes of the Dades Valley, stopping to admire the fascinating geological rock formations locally known as the "monkey fingers" before heading to your boutique canyon lodging.

Overnight: Dades Paradise or Dar Blues (Half Board)

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Valley of the Roses – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day of your Fes to Marrakech desert excursion, we travel through the scenic Valley of the Roses (Kelaat M'gouna), celebrated for its organic rose water and vibrant annual flower festivals. We then arrive at the crown jewel of Moroccan architecture: the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This ancient, fortified clay village is one of Morocco's most iconic film locations, featured in legendary productions like Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Game of Thrones. After exploring the Kasbah, we scale the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 meters above sea level), offering panoramic views of traditional Berber villages carved into the mountainsides. We arrive in the vibrant "Red City" by evening, concluding your tour with a direct drop-off at your Marrakech hotel or Riad.
